He has supported over 100 different expeditions across all seven continents including large-scale Himalayan climbing trips, exploration in the Amazon jungle and a South Pole expedition.
His own expeditions have included first British ascents in the Andes, unclimbed peaks in Siberia, crossing the tiny Wahiba Sands desert on foot and walking across Patagonia. He also recently spent 16 months cycling 13,000 miles around the world.
He has set a Guinness World Record and is an elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
